This week’s walkabout started with an email from Scotts. I liked how it gave the retailers a nod. Plus, some good old broadcast television is playing on HGTV to increase awareness of the event. Let’s head to Ace, Lowe’s, and The Home Depot to see how Daylawn savings is activated.

At Fleet Farm, I’m usually in the automotive area. I get tires and oil changes there. My folks live in the country, and my Dad likes Fleet Farm gift cards for all occasions. He gets a lot of fishing and hunting gear there. I’ll confess that I’ve never set foot down the tool aisle. I was looking for barn door hardware there once, and that’s as close as I’ve gotten to tools.
My Google Home app lists four cameras, 28 lights, three wifi devices, three plugs, switches, screens, door sensors, motion sensors, a sync box, and a climate device. I’ve been doing this for a while.
Lowe’s also identifies and badges “Lowe’s Home Team Top Brands/Picks” online, in-app, and in-store. The logo has an NFL badge vibe and is an excellent way of maximizing the NFL partnership without saying NFL.
The most straightforward DIY project with the most impact has to be painting. Most new homeowners might think it’s easy. It can be easy if you’d like to keep it easy. If I could go back in time and start the first paint job in our first house, I’d start at an Ace like this.
Menards isn’t backing down from these hot deals in-store. More Special Buys. More More “As Seen On TV.” More Toys. But Menards is missing the “treasure” I buy every visit. Where did they go Menards?
